The (Creative) Pick

As creative minds, we realize there is somewhat of a stereotype that our creative juices are always flowing…and for the most part, they are. Hey, we’re ad people.

However, there are some days when you just can’t find the words or witty phrases needed to generate the kind of work that you’re proud to be a part of. Enter, the interactive brainstorm to break the block.

Creative solutions are about thinking differently about the problem and the goal, so we make a point to step outside of the expected for special interactive brainstorming sessions.

Recently for inspiration, our team took a field trip to a strawberry field to do some pickin’. The result was our own version of The Pitch, which we proudly named The Pick! It was just the right environment to let our minds wander and find our perfect oasis.

We picked until our baskets were full, fingers were pink and brains were sweetened for some creative enlightenment.

We took our goodies back for just-picked strawberry smoothies and proceeded to let the freshest thinking flow onto the largest Post-it® notes ever. Seriously large Post-it® notes.

There’s something special about immersing yourself in a project or a challenge. A group of minds working together, throwing words and phrases around. Here at Gavin, it’s our own little piece of heaven.

New ideas come when you open up to new experiences, which is exactly why we encourage exploration during our creative process.

No limits. No wrong answers. Just get that idea out there! The most amazing concepts have come out of our sessions.
