This position offers a supportive hybrid option, requiring that the Full Stack Developer work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week, and attend client locations for key meetings and events as necessary. Our clients are regional and national companies requiring an understanding of local, regional, and national markets inclusive of omni-channel communications strategies leveraging branding, public relations, creative, digital advertising, web services and media buying.

The Full Stack Developer is responsible for developing and designing front-end web architecture while ensuring the integrity and responsiveness of back-end coding processes and applications to deliver high performing websites. This person will be a talented and motivated client-facing Full Stack Developer with expertise in WordPress and related technologies. As a client-facing developer, this position plays a crucial role in understanding and fulfilling our clients’ needs, providing technical guidance, and delivering high-quality web solutions. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites and applications, ensuring seamless integration and exceptional user experience. The ability to communicate effectively and work closely with clients, project managers, and designers will be essential in achieving project success and client satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and designers to understand requirements, goals, and technical specifications for WordPress-based projects.
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites and applications, ensuring clean code, optimal performance, and security best practices.
- Customize existing WordPress themes, plugins, and templates, or create new ones from scratch as needed.
- Implement front-end designs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
- Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and libraries into WordPress sites to enhance functionality and meet project requirements.
- Perform website updates, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing WordPress sites.
- Optimize website performance, including page load speed, SEO, and overall user experience.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to identify and fix bugs or usability issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to WordPress and web development.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing technical guidance, presenting project updates, and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and other developers, to ensure successful project delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, specializing in WordPress and related technologies.
- Strong proficiency in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development, hooks, filters, and core functionality.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and responsive design.
- Familiarity with PHP, MySQL, and database management.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with other CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal, Joomla) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce) is a plus.
- Experience with web security best practices and familiarity with common vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques is a plus.
