YORK, PA (16 November 2020) – Gavin™ President and CEO Mandy Arnold today announced that the agency has earned two prestigious web development awards for its latest work with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania.
Gavin, a boutique branding and communications agency serving regional and national clients, was recently selected by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts to receive 2020 Davey Awards for its website build for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania. The agency took gold in the Features category for Best Use of Technology and silver for Websites for a Charitable Organization.
The Davey Awards recognize outstanding creative from the best small agencies and companies worldwide.
Gavin’s digital team was tasked with creating a more user-friendly website for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania that would enhance the organization’s story, services and mission for keeping families together while their children are receiving essential medical care.
In addition to showcasing family stories, the new website was designed to expand donation options – including PayPal and Stripe – to drive increased community support for the organization’s mission and annual events. The website, which can be easily translated for Spanish-speaking families, has a media center featuring family stories, videos, newsletters and annual reports from the organization. It also offers a variety of guest family resources like a house tour and meal calendar.
“The new website has been a big step forward in bolstering our online presence for mobile users,” said Amy Leonard, Development Director, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania. “The new site is helping us to tell a more robust and engaging story of how we are supporting families of children who are being treated at Penn State Children’s Hospital.”
Not only does the new website make it a lot easier for users to find information in English or Spanish, it has given the organization’s staff more options to make quick updates and be more self-sufficient as they expand services to families.
“We’re very proud of this recognition for our collaborative work with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania,” said Arnold. “We accomplished our goal to improve the online user experience and support our client’s mission. While these awards serve to reinforce the great work from our exceptional house of talent at Gavin, our greatest rewards always come from our clients’ successes.”
The Gavin team is comprised of more than 20 employees providing a comprehensive suite of services, including communications and brand strategy, public relations, digital marketing, design and media buying.
