Around economic revitalization and community events
Columbia Borough, PA, engaged with Gavin to support the borough on public relations around planned economic revitalization efforts, most notably the borough’s purchase of a former airport property for future redevelopment.
The borough intends to redevelop the 58-acre site as an innovation and technology campus to support ongoing revitalization efforts in Columbia, PA, and the surrounding region. Gavin was asked to help launch local and regional publicity around the redevelopment project and highlight the economic potential of the site, while also assisting the borough in securing positive media attention around community events and other development projects, including the reopening of the Columbia Market House.
Over the span of eight months, our public relations team facilitated media coverage from regional print/online and television outlets around borough and community events, transportation improvement projects and new residential development initiatives.
In addition to facilitating events with borough officials and key stakeholders, including state Sen. Ryan Aument, R-36, Gavin also advised officials and drafted statements to support borough initiatives and events.
