President, Weldon Solutions

Travis Gentzler is president and CEO of Weldon Solutions, a York-based manufacturer which designs, builds, installs and supports industrial robotic systems for workplace automation.

Travis went to West York High School and then York College, earning a degree in accounting. He started his career in public accounting and was hired at Weldon in 1996 as a company accountant, and by 1999 was promoted to controller. That same year, he was part of the transition team helping to convert Weldon from a foreign-owned company to an employee-owned company, also known as an ESOP, which stands for employee stock ownership plan. Then, in 2014, he became Weldon’s president after the retirement of George Sipe.

Now, at 50 years old, he has twin daughters, Jordyn and Taylor, who are 25 years old. He lives with his longtime girlfriend, Tiffani, and in his spare time he golfs, rides his motorcycle and spends time with family.

Travis is proud of the growth Weldon has experienced during his tenure as president. The company’s grinder business has remained strong as its automation business continues to grow. Both segments being strong led to the expansion project of the company’s headquarters.
